A warranty is only as solid as the company giving it to you. Craft-Bilt Materials Ltd. has been in business for over 33 years. Our US affiliate, Craft-Bilt Manufacturing Co., has been in business for over 75 years. Together, we supply contractors and DIY across North America with high-quality, tested products.
Would you trust a 20-year warranty from a company that has only been in business for ten years? Would you trust a company that does not put its address on its website?
Your Craft-Bilt product warranty covers factory issues such as flaking or peeling paint and structural defects. Craft-Bilt’s warranty applies to properly installed products only; for instance, installation guides must be followed, correct fasteners must be used, and the product must be properly specified (e.g., not spacing railing posts farther apart than our specifications or exceeding roof spans based on local snow load). Installation is not covered by the factory warranty. Your contractor will have their own labour warranty that covers installation-related issues, such as water leaks, out of plumb or level, improper flashing or sealant application and fit-and-finish defects from field-cut components – including uneven miter joints, exposed raw metal edges and visible gaps in cover trims.
DIY customers are responsible for their own labour and installation issues.
To Obtain Warranty Services:
You must provide the dated, signed contract or invoice. You must initiate your warranty claim within 30 days of discovering the issue. You will initiate contact with the contractor who supplied the components. If this does not apply or is not possible, you can contact Craft-Bilt directly at 25 Green Court, Ajax, ON, L1S 6W9. Craft-Bilt or its agent must be permitted to inspect the components to determine eligibility.
