What measurements do I need before I start?
For a rectangle deck you need the Projection (depth from house outward) and Width. For an L-shaped deck you also need the Small Projection and Small Width of the notched section. All measurements are entered in inches.
Can I calculate an L-shaped or notched deck?
Yes. The calculator supports L-Shape Left Notch and L-Shape Right Notch in addition to standard rectangles. A left notch is a cut-out at the bottom-left corner; a right notch is at the bottom-right. Which board orientations are supported?
