    • A Cross-Over Post is made to fit underneath a continuous handrail, while a Line Post with a post cap interrupts the handrail.

    • According to the building code, when the deck on your home is less than 6 feet (1800mm) above the ground, you can use 36", otherwise you must use 42".

    • Heights and post spacing mentioned in this calculator are for typical residential use on balconies or decks up to three floors.

    • For other uses, please contact Craft-Bilt.

    • Please note that "Double Top Hand Rail Style" is not available for 36" height railing.

    • *Double top rail is achieved by placing an additional bottom rail approximately 4" (100mm) from the handrail.
