This one is a year-round room, not a summer room.

That distinction drove every decision on this Peterborough build. The homeowners wanted a space they’d still be sitting in come January, with the backyard view intact and no space heater running in the corner. So we built an all season insulated Betterliving sunroom with a white vinyl frame and an A-frame roof.

This Peterborough build is a year-round room, not a summer room. The homeowners wanted a space they’d still be sitting in come January with the backyard view intact, so we built an all season insulated Betterliving sunroom with a white vinyl frame and an A-frame roof.

The A-frame defines it. Instead of a single slope and a flat ceiling, the roof peaks, opening the space well above door height at the ridge so the room reads larger than it measures. The steeper pitch sheds snow rather than holding it through a Peterborough winter, and the gable profile echoes a house roofline instead of a lean-to.

The architectural white frame does the opposite job; it disappears. Frame lines read as window trim, with colour-matched gutters and handles keeping that continuity unbroken. Reinforced vinyl won’t rot or need repainting, and holds heat far better than uninsulated aluminum.

The envelope is fully insulated, not just insulated glass in a bare shell: Low-E argon-filled double-pane glass, insulated wall and roof panels, no visible fasteners, built-in electrical raceways wired to code, and a roof engineered for Ontario snow loads. All backed by a 50-year manufacturer’s warranty from Craft-Bilt.

The result is finished, conditioned square footage at a fraction of what a framed addition costs. Book a free in-home consultation; we’ll measure, walk through your options, and quote it firm.
