Country Stoves and Sunrooms installed this Betterliving all-season sunroom in the Annapolis Valley, finished in white with kneewall glass panels and a glass transom above the window wall.
Country Stoves and Sunrooms installed this Betterliving all-season sunroom on a two-storey home in the Annapolis Valley, built out over an existing wood deck. The room replaced open deck space with a fully enclosed, insulated addition finished in white, matching the home’s existing siding and trim.
The wall system uses kneewall glass panels below the main window band instead of solid panels, so the room keeps a clear sightline down to deck level on every side. A glass transom runs above the sliding windows and door, adding extra height and pulling more daylight into the room without changing the footprint. The roofline was built to follow the pitch of the home’s existing gable roof, keeping the addition visually tied to the house rather than looking like a separate structure tacked on.
As a Betterliving all-season room, the frame uses aluminum inserts within vinyl-clad framing, with argon-filled, Low-E, double-pane tempered glass standard on every sliding window and door. The system is built to be heated and cooled through all four seasons, so the room functions as genuine additional living space rather than a seasonal enclosure that gets closed up for the winter. It carries a 50-year limited warranty.
For a homeowner who wanted a permanent room addition without the cost or disruption of standard construction, this all-season sunroom delivers a bright, glass-walled space that holds up through the valley’s full range of weather, from warm summer evenings on the deck to a snowy Nova Scotia winter.
