A Betterliving retractable fabric canopy with motorized solar shade screens installed on a high-rise condo rooftop terrace in Ottawa. Earthstone aluminum frame, wave-pattern fabric roof, and views of the Ottawa skyline and Ottawa River.
The rooftop amenity terrace of this Ottawa condominium needed shade and weather protection without closing off the city views. This project was installed by Jan’s Awnings – Ottawa.
A Betterliving retractable fabric canopy was installed on a freestanding Earthstone aluminum frame, giving residents a comfortable outdoor lounge space through the warmer months.
The wave-pattern retractable fabric roof can be fully opened on clear days to enjoy the open sky, or extended to provide shade and light rain protection. Motorized solar shade screens on three sides reduce glare while keeping the views of the Ottawa skyline and the Ottawa River.
The freestanding frame design works well on this rooftop terrace where wall attachment was not an option. The Earthstone finish ties in with the warm tones of the stone paving and the surrounding architecture.
