Nova Sunrooms installed this Grand Vista insulated sunroom on a Halifax area property, with the rear deck backing onto a golf course and the interior finished with interlocking wood plank floors and ceiling.

Project Details

This Grand Vista insulated sunroom was installed by Nova Sunrooms on a residential property in the Halifax area. The home’s rear deck backs directly onto a golf course, and the sunroom was built to take full advantage of those views, wrapping around a corner so the fairway and surrounding landscape are visible through three walls of glass.

The wall system is the Grand Vista insulated sunroom, Canadian-made and built for year-round use. Double-pane glass runs from the kneewall to the transom height, with transom windows above adding ceiling height and keeping the room light throughout the day. The White aluminum frame reads cleanly against the home’s dark exterior siding and stays maintenance-free through Nova Scotia’s coastal winters.

The standout feature is the interior finish. The homeowner had the floor and ceiling covered with interlocking wood planks, a choice that gives the room warmth that a bare aluminum-and-glass enclosure would not have on its own. The result is a space that functions as a proper room, not just an add-on.

In the before-furniture photos, the golf course stretches through three walls of glass. By the time the sectional was in place, the room had become exactly what a four-season sunroom is supposed to be: a place that is hard to leave on a clear Nova Scotia afternoon.
